If you need a sweet treat for a party or gift this year look no further than these holiday magic cookie bars!
Our Christmas Crack
Okay so you might be like, why are you calling this Christmas Crack? Well, first of all, our preschool teachers actually nicknamed these bars that! Because they literally can’t make it home before eating the whole batch… (or so I’ve been told). 😉 So, because these holiday magic cookie bars are so delicious it’s impossible to eat only one. In other words, highly addicting. I’ve never tried actual crack, but the word on the street is that it’s also highly addicting, so there’s the explanation. Ha!
What makes these holiday magic cookie bars so good you ask?
Well, I’m sooo glad you asked! For starters, these are super easy. It’s just a matter of layering ingredients in a cake pan and baking for twenty minutes. I also think the combination of the ingredients here are everything. You’ve got a graham cracker crust cooked in butter topped with sweetened condensed milk and chocolate. Sweetened condensed milk in my opinion takes a holiday magic cookie bar to the next level! Or any cookie for that matter!
Here’s a super close up of those gooey layers baked to perfection. I really think the crust makes this recipe!
Did I mention these cookie bars make great gifts?
Because these are so easy to make my kids can help. I love that they can contribute to their teachers gifts. Our teachers look forward to these every year! It’s really fun to wrap them up in cute little packages too. I have a great time designing little goodie bags with stamps or fun clothespins. If you’re looking for cute teacher gift ideas this holiday check out some of the fun things we’ve done here in this post. And if you don’t have a clue what your teacher likes I suggest giving them a fun questionnaire to fill out. This has helped me so much! I’ve got a free printable for you in this post here!
This is how I’m giving my cookie bars this year. In these little cute brown craft bags I stamped. I linked similar ones here for you. I like to decorate a bunch at once so they’re all ready to go! These also make great gifts for the folks that come to our house on a weekly basis. Think about your mailman and delivery people. Your gardeners or trash service. The holidays are a perfect time to recognize all the people in our lives that make a difference! And if you’re still doing your holiday shopping check out my post here for three great gift guides. Many of the items are amazon prime so you can still get them in time for Christmas!
