This girls howlin’ halloween party is perfect for a little girls birthday!
My daughter Violet has an October birthday. However, we had yet to actually throw a Halloween themed birthday until last year! I’ve thrown her some really cute parties, but this was by far her favorite. I got the idea for this girls howlin’ halloween party from Annaliese @madeofsugarandspice when I was shopping for party supplies on Oriental Trading.
Look at how little sis just had to photo bomb! ha!
I purchased pretty much everything from Oriental Trading and the dollar bin at Target! We were planning her party right around vacation so being able to just order everything made it so much easier.
I feel like the mylar balloons make such a huge impact without much effort. WIN! The backdrop is just three plastic tablecloths I layered on top of each other and taped to the wall. I cut slits in the bottom of each layer to give it a “fringe” effect. The tablecloths, balloons, bowls, candy (like these adorable candy corn ring lollipops ), favors, bats, candleabras and black and white striped lanterns are all from Oriental Trading! The fun spooky trees and pumpkins are from Target.
A girls howlin’ halloween party needs extra spooky favors!
We did a grab bag buffet style favor station for this party. Kids could load up on sixlet candies, candy corn ring pops, werewolf fangs, plastic spiders, bubbles, taffy and even werewolf kibble (aka scooby snacks and cereal).
Hot pink, orange and black. It says Halloween but in a fun modern way.
When I saw these adorable glass bottles in our color theme at the dollar bin at Target I had to snatch them up! They were perfect for our “ghoul juice”!
It wouldn’t be a spooky halloween party without a fun spooky craft now would it? Since slime is all the craze we let the kids make their very own “monster slime!” They were able to add glitter, spiders, eyeballs and fangs! My husband was in charge of this activity. He is a brave kind soul!
I made these labels in microsoft word- super easy. I bought the jars from Amazon here.
