Since I’m hosting Thanksgiving this year I thought I would share my simple fresh Thanksgiving table with you!
Are you stumped for ideas to decorate your table? It can be really stressful for some folks. On top of everything else that goes into hosting, decorating can be the last thing on our minds. I created this simple fresh Thanksgiving table using dishes I already had and clippings from my yard. So if you don’t have the time or money to go out and buy something new don’t worry! I hope this inspires you to create something beautiful with things you already have.
For my table I used natural elements like these seagrass plate chargers from World Market. Find similar ones here. The candles are from the dollar bin at Target. I clipped the olive branches from my tree and used my every day silverware. This set is from Pottery Barn. I’ve had it since my wedding!
I do have china but I decided simple white dishes were enough. These plates from Pottery Barn I’ve also had since my wedding! They’re on sale here! I found these candle holders from Target and I love them! I had trouble finding these online so I’ve linked similar ones for you here.
My in-laws own a beautiful avocado ranch, and on that ranch there’s a huge persimmon orchard. While I was there I plucked some persimmons, so I could use the fruit and some of the branches to decorate my simple fresh Thanksgiving table. I love using fresh foliage for decorating. One reason is because its beautiful and smells great, but another is that its also free if you use what you already have! I love how this turned out! This was so easy to do, my daughter Violet was even able to help me. We just used fruit and branches for the foliage, and added the persimmons and their leaves for a splash of color. The ikat printed table runners and napkins also added a nice contrast with their color and pattern. You can find those at World Market here.
