My outdoor patio decor inspiration came from an unusual source, my daughter’s outfit! You can find inspiration from almost anywhere, and this is just another example of how fashion can influence home decor.
Creamy linen and denim remind me of summer! I was so inspired by this color combo when I saw my daughter Everly wear this outfit. The colors and textures just made me well… happy! If you think about it, we mostly use our outdoor spaces in the warmer months, so these colors and textures were perfect for a summer patio refresh. If you want to see what summer vibes I’m still aiming for in my office you can check out those posts here and here. Here’s a closer look at the outfit I used for my outdoor patio decor inspiration:
Chambray cushions and macrame dreams
To give this outdoor space a beachy boho summery vibe I found chambray cushions on major sale from Target. I loved my old cushions, but they were completely worn out. I even got a quote to have them reupholstered, but it didn’t come anywhere near the deal I got on these Target cushions.
How a Shirt Influenced my Outdoor Patio Decor Inspiration
I felt like the creamy linens and macrame details on these pillows from World Market really played up the summery boho vibe I was going for on my outdoor patio. Plus they matched Everly’s shirt perfectly and added just the right pop of color!

These outdoor patio tables/ottomans are also from World Market.

These pillows are so pretty and such good quality that you could use them indoors as well. A lot of pillows can be a hassle for some, but personally I think it just adds to the cozy feel. It still feels plenty warm here even as we approach fall, so for now, I will embrace the summery vibe! And remember, look in creative, out-of-the-box places to be inspired for decor or whatever project you may be working on!
